RODBENDERS April 07 NEWSLETTER


 

The club ventured out to Lake Holbrook on a snow filled fishing adventure
on April 7th, and the bass didn’t seem to mind the cold snap.  Supposedly,
many fish were caught shallow, but the next meeting should reveal some
strategies.  Twenty-five (25) competitors brought in 74 fish weighing in
150.66 pounds, a 2.04 pound average.  For the second tournament in a row,
no team brought in a 10 fish limit.  First place went to the team of Gary
Townsend and Ricky Donithan with a nice stringer of 7 fish coming in at
17.24 pounds. Coming in second place were Tony South and Jeff Cade with 9
fish at 16.08 pounds.  Third place went to Martin Kralik and Jerry Evans,
who had 7 fish that weighed 15.85 pounds.  Cody Spoerl made his single
keeper count as he won big bass of the event with a 5.16 pound hawg.
Thanks to everyone for participating and congratulations to the winners. We
hope to see everyone next month at Lake Tyler.
