December found the club fishing Lake Monticello for a paper event.  The weather wasn't a major issue, but the power plant not generating seemed to affect the bite for many competitors.  Some of the guys still figured something out and pulled out a win.  Since paper events are individual events, the results were as follows:  Riley Hamilton brought in 5 fish at 17.52 pounds for a fist place finish, barely beating out Cody Spoerl with 5 fish at 17.16 pounds.  Coming in third place was Joe Singel with 5 fish at 11.42 pounds, while Darrel Thompson had 4 fish at 8.85 pounds.  In fifth place was David Gilmore, who had 3 fish at 7.55 pounds.  Rounding out the finishers was Wayne Kralik with 5 fish at 6.71 pounds.  The big bass finisher was not published.  Twelve anglers brought in  29  bass (paper weight) at 72.73 pounds, a 2.51 pound average. Thanks to everyone for participating and congratulations to the winners.  As mentioned in the top line above, the January tournament on Lake Fork has been postponed until a club vote at the next meeting.  There was still ice in the coves on Fork as of yesterday and with cold rain forecasted for this Saturday, the turnout was not anticpated to be more than three boats at best.  We are targeting a February or March rescheduled event.  We hope to see everyone next month at the next event of the 2009-2010 season, Lake Bob Sandlin on February 6th.  Good luck to everyone at Bob Sandlin!!!
