RODBENDERS February 07 Newsletter
| The club fished Lake Monticello for February 3rd this year, and judging by the temperatures at start time, it's probably a blessing we weren't on a cold water lake! As it was, one of the ramps had some ice on it and many members reported equipment problems related to the extreme cold. Twenty-two competitors brought in 61 fish weighing in 141.28 pounds, a 2.32 pound average. As this was a paper tournament, the top six individuals were rewarded with cash prizes. First place in was Jason Hill with five fish at 14.22 pounds. Coming in second place was James Cannon with 5 fish at 13.12 pounds. Third place went to Mark Depew, who had 5 fish that weighed 11.39 pounds. Coming in fourth was Riley Hamilton with 4 fish at 11.01 pounds, while fifth place went to Steve Kralik, who had 5 fish weighing 10.8 pounds. Sixth place went to Dan Harris with 5 fish at 10.12 pounds. Mike Millender won big bass of the event with a 5.21 pound (paper weight) hawg. Thanks to everyone for participating and congratulations to the winners. We hope to see everyone next month at Lake Cypress Springs . |
