The club tackled the famous Lake Fork with a weigh in event this month, and the cold rain the week before had surface temps ranging from 46 to 51 degrees.  This made for some tough fishing for most of the competitors, as only 5 teams brought keepers to the scales.  No fish over 24” were brought into the scales.  Coming in first place was the team of Mike Millender and David Gilmore, with a four fish stringer at 7.08 pounds.  Second place went to the team of Jason Hill and Simon Neicheril with two fish at 3.95 pounds.  A very near third place went to James Cannon and Dan Harris with two fish at 3.47 pounds.   Amazingly enough, we had another tie for big bass, with Mike Millender and John Duhon each catching a fish weighing exactly 2.48 pounds.   Twenty-two anglers total brought in 10 bass at 18.97 pounds, a 1.90 pound average.  Thanks to everyone for participating and congratulations to the winners. We hope to see everyone next month at the next event of the 2007-2008 season on Lake Winnsboro, March 1st.
