RODBENDERS July 05 NEWSLETTER
| Attached are the results after the July 9th tournament at Cedar Creek Lake. The club changed tactics this month, opting for a sweat-filled, crowded lake in the middle of jet ski season, as opposed to a night tournament. Cedar Creek was tough this time around, giving up no five fish limits and awarding many donuts at the weigh-in. Participation was up this month (thanks to new and prospective members) as twenty-three anglers brought in a total of 15 fish at 26.32 pounds - a 1.75 lb average. First place went to standings leader Dave Jones and partner Danny Jones with three fish at 4.82 pounds. Coming in a close second place was Jeff Cade and his ringer wife Lisa Cade with a 3 fish stringer that weighed 4.31 pounds. Third place was the newcomer team of Matt Reed and Mike Freeman with two nice fish at 4.19 pounds. Big Bass of the event went to James Cannon with a 2.84 pound fish. Thanks to everyone that made the hot trip to wet a line. Better luck to everyone next month at sweat-filled Bob Sandlin, another 5-2:30 event. Good job guys. |
