Our club fished the second event of the 2008-2009 tournament season with a trip to Lake Lavon this past November 1st. Thirteen members ventured out into the stained waters of Lavon to trick some wily bass into biting. Crank baits and some soft plastics seemed to be the winning patterns. Taking first place this month was the team of Tim Hall and Jerry Vaughan, with a 5 fish stringer at 11.33 pounds. In second place was the team of Wayne Kralik and Darrell Thompson with 3 fish at 9.21 pounds. Coming in third place was the boat of James Cannon, with 3 fish at 4.83 pounds. Big bass of the event went to Cody Spoerl with a 4.47 pound hawg. Thirteen anglers total brought in 14 bass at 32.77 pounds, a 2.34 pound average. Thanks to everyone for making the trip and congratulations to the winners. We hope to see everyone next month at the next event of the 2008-2009 season, on Lake Welsh, December 6th. Good luck to everyone at Welsh. **************RODBENDERS 2008 CLASSIC*************************** The field of qualifiers showed up for the annual Rodbenders Classic at Lake Tyler on October 24th.
