Attached are the results after the October 1st tournament at Lake Texoma. The 2006 season started out with a whimper as our anglers battled this tough lake on this day, the first time our club has ever fished it. Sixteen competitors brought in a total of 14 fish at 23.69 pounds - a 1.69 lb average. First place went to Wayne Kralik and Joe Singel with 4 nice fish at 7.48 pounds. Coming in second place was Brian Lee and Jason Hill with a 2 fish stringer that weighed 4.66 pounds. Third place was the relative newcomer team of Cody Spoerl and Riley Hamilton with 2 fish at 4.12 pounds. Big Bass of the event went to Brian Lee with a 3.31 pound fish he caught fishing wind blown banks. Thanks to everyone that made the trip north to wet a line. Better luck to everyone next month at Lake Ray Hubbard.  Thanks also to all the members of our club that showed up to fish at the St Jude's benefit tournament October 2nd on Texoma.  I believe we had six boats of Rodbenders members, so we definitely showed up.

THE CLASSIC WILL BE HELD on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21st at Lake Bob Sandlin.  Weigh in at Bob Sandlin State Park, 6 AM - 3:30 PM, but check the website to verify times.  WARNING:  Bob Sandlin is currently 4 feet low, the state park ramp has several large rocks on the side opposite the dock.  Put in as close to the dock as you can, and make sure you keep your motor trimmed!!!!
