Our club kicked off the 2008-2009 tournament season with an event on Lake Bob Sandlin this past October 4^th.  Nineteen anglers showed up to test their mettle against the Sandlin bass, and some members were able to not only place in our tournament, but also draw checks in the ABC event going on that day as well.  Crank baits and some soft plastics seemed to be the winning patterns.  Taking first place this month was the team of Steve Kralik and Darrel Thompson, with a 10 fish limit at 24.17 pounds.  In second place was the team of Wayne Kralik and Martin Kralik with 10 fish at 16.65 pounds.  Coming in third place was the boat of Jeff Cade and Tony South, with 8 fish at 13.85 pounds.   Big bass of the event went to Jeff Cade with a 5.31 pound hawg.  Nineteen anglers total brought in 56 bass at 94.75 pounds, a 1.69 pound average.  Thanks to everyone for making the trip and congratulations to the winners.
