For our October 3rd tournament, the club fished a two-day event on Lake o' The Pines.  Although the fishing was tougher than usual for the fall, some teams put together a consistent bite to pull out some decent stringers.  Winning first place this month as the team of Mike Millender and David Gilmore, with a 15 fish stringer at 18.49 pounds. Coming in second place was the team of Darrel Thompson and David Bickel with 8 fish at 16.18 pounds.  Bringing in the third place stringer was Wayne Kralik and Joe Singel with 5 bass at 12.88 pounds.  Big bass of the event went to Wayne Kralik with a 4.66 pound fish that sets the initial bar for big fish of the year.  Eleven anglers brought in 32 bass at 57.84 pounds, a 1.81 pound average. Thanks to everyone for participating and congratulations to the winners. We hope to see everyone next month at the second event of the 2009-2010 season, Lake Welsh on November 7th.  Good luck to everyone at Welsh!   The 2009 Rodbenders Classic will be held on Friday, November 6th at Lake Cypress Springs.  Good luck to the qualifiers at the Classic!!!!  

RODBENDERS ANGLER OF THE YEAR FOR 2009 >>> STEPHEN KRALIK!!!!!   Steve had a great season overall and weighed in fish at all 12 events, taking home prize money in many of them.  It was a close battle with Wayne, Jerry and Darrel, but Steve pulled it out.  Good job Steve!
