RODBENDERS September 07 Newsletter

First of
all, let us all recognize
Mr. Jason Hill as
Rodbenders Angler of the
Year for 2007!!!! Jason had a season all of us
would be proud of. He not only weighed fish in all twelve
tournaments, but he was in the top five individual finishers
in most of them! Jason added to this title the Rodbenders
Big Bass of the Year, so it was a clean sweep for Mr.
Hill. Way to go, Jason! Many anglers reported seeing tons
of shad and many small fish Jason Hill continued what has
been a great season and pretty much cemented his hold on the
Angler of the Year title. This past event at Lake Bob
Sandlin wasn’t a typical “Sandlin” event. Twenty-five
anglers fished pretty tough conditions to bring in 52 bass
at 62.81 pounds, a 1.21 pound average. The first place
prize was taken by the team of Jerry Vaughan and Tim Hall
with 10 fish at 14.10 pounds. Second place went to the team
of Wayne Kralik and Darrel Thompson with 10 fish at 12.97
pounds. Martin Kralik and Stephen Kralik came in third with
7 fish at 8.67 pounds. Big bass of the event went to Tim
Hall, with a solid 4.03 Sandlin hawg. Thanks to everyone
for participating and congratulations to the winners. We
hope to see everyone next month at the first event of the
2007-2008 season on Lake Ray Roberts, October 6th.
